History of 41 Club

The 41 Club, officially known as The Association of Ex-Round Tablers’ Clubs, was established in 1945 as a natural progression for members who reached the age limit of membership within the Round Table. Its formation aimed to preserve and extend the friendships and community ethos cultivated during members’ Round Table years.

Origins and Growth

41 Club began when former Round Table members sought to continue the camaraderie, fellowship, and community involvement experienced during their time in Round Table. Initially informal and localized, the movement quickly expanded across the UK and eventually internationally.

The Name ’41 Club’

The name “41 Club” derives from the tradition that members would typically retire from Round Table upon reaching their 40th birthday, thus entering “41 Club” at age 41. This marked a new chapter, where members could maintain connections and continue contributing to their communities.

Development and Expansion

Since its establishment, the 41 Club has grown significantly, with thousands of members across numerous clubs worldwide. Each club preserves the foundational values of friendship, community support, and lifelong fellowship, adapting these principles to local contexts and needs.

Today’s 41 Club

Today, the 41 Club continues to thrive globally, encouraging former Round Tablers to remain active, connected, and engaged. It maintains close ties with Round Table, supporting ongoing projects, community initiatives, and charitable causes, thereby strengthening its legacy and impact.
